Yesterday I saw a small video produced by the supporters of the Occupy Wall Street protesters. The video basically blamed Ronald Reagan for what was going on. I sent this to a friend and the friend sent me a link to the above cartoon in response. Pretty appropriate I think.
Actually saw a comment on one of the mock-the-53 articles that accused Americans of being docile and controlled by comfort and convenience, and that being a horrible travesty that should not stand. Seriously, read it: John Cooper’s comment, 5:05 PM on October 11th.

Al Sharpton says Herman Cain isn't black enough
In a time when we should be ignoring skin color entirely, the left sure likes to being it up again and again and again… You never heard this when Obama was being elected, did ya?
Lawrence O’Donnell basically tells Herman Cain he isn’t a real black man. Cain responds well, probably with less punching and physical violence than I would. That is why I am not good at debates.

Just wanted to share this. I am the 53/We are the 53 is a movement that is dedicated to showing what the 53% of Americans that actually pay taxes are like. The stories are not all warm and fuzzy - these people are real and have made good and bad choices in their lives. Yet when failure comes they have got back up, dusted themselves off and continued living. They did this without complaining that the government isn’t doing enough for them. Amazing, eh? I am part of the 53 percent myself.
Amazed that the 53% have a common thread. We all suffered a bit before understanding that we are responsible for our own lives.
Sargent Joe Friday has something to say to the Occupy Wall Street crowd. Listen up, it’s good advice.
